03/19/2010 After Bell Quick Summary

OK, very very bullish Monday? Anyone still has a doubt on that? Although according to the Stock Trader’s Almanac, week after Triple Witching, Dow down 15 of last 22. So the next week should be generally bearish.

I saw two unusual things however, could have related to Triple Witching, please let me know if you know why, thanks.

The first one is right before the close, the index put volume surged suddenly pushing CPCI to an extreme level which I consider as bearish.

The second one is large block buyings were all over the big caps. Institutions are very bullish or it’s just a common option expiration day phenomenon?

index put多了一般都是看牛吧

买了large cap的股票，再买put做hedge

Buy dip下周再说吧。做空也许可以捞点，不过要小心。
