The market is clearly still trending instead of ranging or sideways. One thing to keep in mind is that all your TA knowledge and your favorite indicators work the best in such trending market. So trust it for your entries and exits.
W%R / RSI and STO / RSI are two entry/exit tools I often rely on over MAs. W%R / RSI responds to entry opportunities faster than most of other indicators, and can give you one to two bars advantage. STO / RSI is quite responsive itself and can offer a confirmation for your entry. I like to wait for STO / RSI exit signal to avoid some of the sensativities of W%R. As for the SL, you can rely on BB, playing with its StdDiv setting between 1.5 and 2.5 (default is 2.0). StdDiv at 1.0 means 62% of chance the prices would fall inside of the band. At 2.0 its like over 80% (I don't remember the exact percentage - maybe some statisticians here can fill in).
As for the state of the current market if you play SPY / BGU, I would stay course and wait for the exit signal from the chart for the next move. |
