hehehe, it will recover. I think the big banks will be stronger after this crisis, thanks to the gov't. Don't know if it will go back to historical high, but seems like Citi has been on track with restructuring lately.
I don't have a target because I intend to hold it for a couple of years. I know it's going to be diluted, however, I don't think the gov't and Citi will just blindly let it happen, otherwise it defeats the purpose of giving Citi so much money. They probably have a plan to keep the stock price relatively stable. A frog's 2c
I agree with you that the price will be relative stable. But considering share dilution, I dont think it can go to a high price, which is comparable to the historical high, unless C will buy back huge shares. JMHO.
I don't think it will reach historical high in any forseeable future (you never know though :P). I would be happy if it went to BAC's current level in the next couple of years.
Hopefully Citi will hold itself well through the credit card crisis and then commercial real estate. For now, management seems to be doing well and communicating well.
