I am not sure if that would happen, may an ultra short squeeze could do it.

this is not a logical bet, after this earning season, mkt is likely bounce between 880-980, going into Q3 earning season, if traders do see greens shoots then they will run mkt towards 1120 (50% retracement), if not, they will run down to 700's after Q3 earning season, not 500's. so after Q3 earning season, we either see 1120 or 700 to close the year 2009.
