Sales of newly-built U.S. single-family homes rose slightly
less than expected in April, according to data from the
Commerce Department.
Sales rose by 0.3 percent to an annual pace of 352,000.
Analysts had forecast a pace of 360,000.

Following the release of the data, the Dow Jones U.S. Home
Construction index sank 5 percent to 209.31.
