buy and hold really not good?

I have owned different Canadian/US Stocks for the past month or so. The ones I sold quick after I bought and drop, I took a loss. The ones I bought and hold even after the drop, now it's up above the water.

After I bought those stocks, I'd like to come here and read all the 老大, HH 甚至于青蛙们的分析和报告, and got myself excited and most of the time panic'd, then I will jump in promptly or get out promptly. Last month alone I had done over 30 trades but before last month and you count all the way to when I opened my account 10 years ago, I had not done over 20 trades in total.

examples of my position:
1. hou.to (just like oil etf USO), I bought at $7.29 and after that it went down as low as $4.86. I did not set stop loss and just hold on to it. Yesterday it went up as high as $8.10. I decide to hold this one for a little bit longer, my reason is, I have been in deep under water for that long and I did not sell, why I should sell it now and take only a small profit? I will hold on to it and not set stop loss, just like when I was holding my oracle stock for almost 10 years.
2. yri.to (US symbol: AUY), I bought at $11.5 and then it started drifted side way eventually went down as low as maybe $8.9. Today it is at $11.8. I will hold on to it the same reason I will hold on to hou.to, without stop loss.

Why I hold on to this for so long?

1. I don't have too much position on these two. The position I am having, I can forget about it and sleep well at night. So I was in no hurry to sell it even after a big drop.
2. No stop loss set so when it drop and bounce back (several times during the time I am holding), so I won't get stopped out.
3. Hutong or DQ's excitement and panic won't get me into selling them quickly to take a profit or a loss.

The losing trades are so many that I don't bother waste too much space here, but many times of the losing trade is I acted too quickly after I got impatient or panic, and I wanted to act fast to fix my 'bad' trade and ended up made more mistakes.

What should I do with my hou.to and yri.to now?
