NYADV top/bottom watch update

The theory was modified a little bit to eliminate noise by adding a confirmation line, which is the trend line of troughs. The trend line of peaks should be called signal line.

Today NYADV dropped a lot. It made the EMA5 of NYADV 1) pass signal line decisively, and 2) pass confirmation line with a narrow margin. In addition to the signal mark the beginning of the topping process 4 days ago, this theory (if it is right) suggests that the topping process has been completed. The top is today's high.
If this theory does not work, I still have the excuse that the confirmation signal is at noise level now. Should NYADV go down further tomorrow to pass confirmation line by large margin, all my excuses would be used up.

I also feel the same way that the topping process looks too short. But I do not have a good answer to your question.  
The only thing I could think about was that the confirmation line was crossed with a too small margin, which could be at noise level. So there is still a chance to invalidate the confirmation if tomorrow NYADV goes up and passes the signal line upward again. Or there is a much simpler explanation: my theory doesn't work.

Update on 5-8-2009
My last excuse was consumed by the market today: yesterday's confirmation was a noise, it was invalidated by today's change. NYADV went up big and EMA5 passed the signal line (upward) with a confident margin. So the topping process is still going.

No more excuse now.
EMA5 of NYADV passed the confirmation line downward with enough margin, meaning that the topping process has ended, if this technique is good.
