SPX did bounce off @820 sharply. Only have small long positions at this point. The fact tomorrow is OE makes it harder to tell if this bounce is for real or simply to kill those fat calls.

Yesterday we had a hammer candlestick, which nornally indicates a short term bottom. But are we heading to 1050 from here? At this point it's really hard to say. Another possible scenarios is that this wave B down of wave 4 is not over yet. It has sub waves a (down, from 940 to 820), b (up, from 820 to 890?) and c (down) and currently we are in sub wave b up. If that's the case, SPX will go up to 880-900 area and then drop again to finish wave B down of wave 4.

Looks like this year's Superbowl will be super boring and I believe that Cardinals will have no chance this time as there is no way that they are going to repeat those big offensive big plays against League's #1 defense. And they definitely will double team Larry Fitzgerald.  I am not sure whether Steelers will cruise through Cardinals by 10+ points or they will keep the game close to screw up the most majority who put the bets on Steelers -6.5.

As for the market, looks like many people are predicting that the market will break the 11/21 low (some predicting even going to 600 this time)  before going up again.

My small long positions got stopped out today at break even. Looks like it's going to be a MDD. Just like what Cobra laoda said, MDD comes by a pair. I wil watch SPX 800 closely.

 

Talking about Eagles' loss to Cardinals, Jim Johnson (Eagles' defense coordinator) did a terrible job. Cardinals was unble to get anything going in the 3rd quarter because Eagels blitz the sh*t of Kurt Warner. This is something they were supposed to do for the other 3 quarters but they played like a bunch of pussies. I hope Steelers learn the lesson: put pressure on KW to stop their passing offense.

I was very busy last Friday and this whole week is not getting any better. That means no more watering at HT. So just want to give an update in case anyone is still interested. My view stays the same except the target of 1050, which could be too high. But nevertheless, markets seem setting up for a rally that could last for a month or so.

NND, finally got a chance to take a break at work. The board of the company is pushing for big cost cutting (a big part of it is lay off) and I have to go to five or six meetings each day with all the directors and managers to go through expenses line by line. I am telling you: there is no industry that will be immune from this recession.

Markets are up four days in a row. So it's likely they will pull back some (fill today's gap?)in order to advance further as I think this wave 4 has more upside room to go. Hope we can get a MAD today.
